Then there’s this new release from Blawan on Hessle. At first I was all like, ‘Hessle dropped a clanger, well not so much a clanger – but is this really on a par with there other releases, I don’t majorly think so’. Truth is though, it is definitely ill. ‘Iddy’ is some next level thugged out madness, and ‘Fram’ is equally as on-point. I like how both tracks hark back to earlier Hessle releases with their sound, it so it seems to me anyways.

Here’s two things to dazzle and amaze you whilst in the tub, because that is officially the best place to give music the time and effort it deserves. Not a club, not on a train journey, not whilst attempting to make 1,890 words look like 2000 words throught deceptive font formatting. It’s whilst you’re getting yourself hyper suddy with preferably some herbal essences, a cup of tea and some blem blemz.

Firstly, this Samiyam beat. Which i’ve definitely being searching for for like, a year. I remember hearing it on that Hyperdub showcase that Mary Anne Hobbs did like… ages ago. I distinctly remember listening to that show for the first time, and just having to pull up this track like seven times before I could move on, or even think about reintegrating myself back into society. It has a WOYY factor of about 20, enjoy.

Secondly, Ben UFO has done it again. He’s only gone and made a mixtape. Only this time you can’t download it which is total waste, but i’m guessing maybe in like a week or so someone will rip it and upload it or some major dope thing will happen where you can OWN it.

Obviously, it’s once again, way way waay too much. Just everything that’s good. Find a better DJ, just try it.
